<br />~ <br />/1 <br /> <br />and redevelopment, or a combination thereof, <br />slum or blighted area or areas, is necessary <br />interest of public health, safety, morals or <br />of the residents of the City. <br /> <br />of such <br />in the <br />welfare <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />'Section 3. It is hereby further determined that the <br />City of San Marcos shall exercise the powers granted <br />to the City by the Urban Renewal Law of the State of Texas, <br />except the Urban Renewal Project Powers as defined in said <br />Urban Renewal Law. <br /> <br />'Section 4. It is hereby further determined to be necessary <br />and in the public interest that the City of San Marcos elect, <br />and, accordingly, the City hereby elects to have the said <br />Urban Renewal Project Powers exercised by the Urban Renewal <br />Agency of the City of San Marcos, which Agency is created <br />by said Urban Renewal Law. <br /> <br />'Section 5. The findings, determinations, and elections <br />herein made are made in accordance with and the various <br />terms used herein as used in the same sense as used or <br />defined in said Urban Renewal Law.' <br /> <br />"IN FAVOR OF ADOPTION <br /> <br />"AGAINST ADOPTION <br /> <br />"MARK our THE CHOICE YOU DO Nor WISH TO VorE FOR". <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION 6. The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to <br />cause to be printed and, at the proper time, to be made available at all, <br />polling places within said City, an adequate supply of the official <br />ballots herein prescribed, for USe at said special election, substantially <br />in accordance with the applicable provisions of the laws of Texas with <br />respect generally to special elections in said City. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. Said special election shall be held at the following <br />polling places: <br /> <br />Precinct 10 - City Library <br />Precinct 11 - County Barn <br />Precinct 12 - County Courthouse <br />Precinct 13 - City Hall <br /> <br />which shall be the voting places for the entire corporate limits of said <br />City, and said special election shall be held in accordance with the <br />applicable provisions of the Election Code of the State of Texas and the <br />Urban Renewal Law of the State of Texas, and the following officials are <br />hereby appointed. <br /> <br />Precinct 10 <br />Jack Kercheville, <br />Judge <br /> <br />Mrs. Jack Wood and Mrs. J.R. Thornton <br />Assistant Judge Clerk <br /> <br />Precinct 11 <br />Frank Taylor, <br />Judge <br /> <br />Mrs. Henry Bales, and Mrs. Lola Petty <br />Assistant Judge Clerk <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Precinct 12 <br />Mrs. Archie Weatherford, <br />Judge <br /> <br />Mrs. Harold Gosdin and Mrs. S.A. McIntyre <br />Assistant Judge Clerk <br /> <br />Precinct 13 <br />Mrs. C.M. Waldrip, <br />Judge <br /> <br />Mrs. W.C. Sherrill and Mrs. R.J. Pollard <br />Assistant Judge Clerk <br /> <br />and they are hereby designated and authorized to hold said special election <br />at the places indicated. <br /> <br />~ <br />
