<br />1017 ~ <br />(lC/ <br /> <br />-~ <br />":27 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE <br />CALLING A SPECIAL ELECIION IN THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, PURSUANT <br />TO SECIIONS 5 AND l6(a) OF THE URBAN <br />RENEWAL LAW OF TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR <br />THE FORM OF NOT ICE THEREOF; THE FORM <br />OF THE OFFICIAL BALLOT; ESTABLISHING <br />THE POLLING PLACES; NAMING THE ELECI ION <br />OFFICIALS; AND .PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on the 14th day of August, 1962, the City Council adopted <br />an Ordinance calling for a Special Election pursuant to the Urban <br />Renewal Law of the State of Texas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 7 of said Ordinance established the polling places <br />of said City of San Marcos, Texas, and named the election officials <br />who were appointed to conduct said special election; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has been duly notified that the appointed <br />election judge of Precinct 10, Mr. Jack Kercheville, will be unable <br />to serve in the capacity appointed, due to circumstances beyond his <br />control, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY the City Council of the City of <br />San Marcos, Texas, that <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1. Section 7 of an Ordinance adopted on the 14th day of <br />August 1962 is hereby amended, naming Mr. Dare Williams <br />as Judge of Precinct 10 of the Special Election to be <br />held on the 18th day of September 1962. <br /> <br />2.
