<br />~- <br />%* <br /> <br />special meeting november 27, 1962 page two <br /> <br />The next item of business, setting the boundary for Project One <br />(Chautauqua Hill) of the local Development Program, was discussed <br />by the Council. The city Manager explained that for the purposes of <br />applying to the Housing and Home Finance Agency far a Survey and Planning <br />Grant, the area included in Project one had been based on an arbitrary <br />boundary line. As the work on the Project progresses, it is permissible to <br />make adjustments in a boundary. <br />After a thorough discussion of the area included in Project One, Alderman I <br />Stokes moved that the Council approve the area of the Chautauqua Hill <br />Project, subject to the approval of the Local Planning Agency, by the <br />following metes and bounds, as shown on the map of San Marcos; <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a point, which point 15 the most westerly line of North Austin <br />Street at its intersection with the south line of East Colorado Street, the <br />same being the northeast corner of Lot 4, Block 24, Original Town; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, along the said south line of Colorado street in an easterly direction <br />to a point of intersection with the east line of North Union street with the <br />south line of Colorado Street; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, along the east line of North Union Street, said line being the west <br />boundary line of the u.s. Fish and Wildlife property, crossing Woods Street <br />to the SWTSC property; and, <br /> <br />THE~CE. following the line of the swrsc property in a westerly direction to <br />North Edward Gary Street, along North Edward Gary, concho, North Austin and <br />Woods streets, crossing the property of St. John's Catholic Church to <br />Guadalupe street; and. <br /> <br />THENCE, along the east line of North Guadalupe street to a point opposite <br />swrsc property in Lot 1. Bloak 5, Mountain City Addition; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, crossing North Guadalupe street and following the swrsc property I <br />line along Navarro. Talbot and Comanche Streets to a point in Lot B, Block 3, <br />Mountain City Addition; and. <br /> <br />THENCE, ina northeasterly direction to North Guadalupe Street along North <br />Edwaro Gary Street to the south line of Matthews Street, along MattheWS Street <br />to th! intersection with the northeast line of Elm Street, if extended; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a northwesterly direction across Matthews street along the southeast <br />line of Elm Street to its intersection with the southwest CGrner of Lot 123 of <br />Park Addition; and, <br /> <br />THENCE. in a southwesterly direction along the northwest side of an alley <br />to its intersection with the northeast side of North Guadalupe Streetl and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a northwesterly and westerly direction along Guadalupe and Liveoak <br />Streets to a point; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a southwasterly direction across Liveoak Street along the west <br />boundary line of Lot 10 of the Park Addition to its intersection with the <br />northwest line of Matthews Street; and, <br /> <br />THENCE. in a southwesterly direction along the north line of MatthewS street <br />to its intersection With the west line of Comanche Street; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, along the west line of Comanche Street in a southerly direction to I <br />its intersection with the west line of Woods street; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in an easterly direction aleng the south line of Woods Street to its <br />intersection with the west line of Fredericksburg street; and. <br /> <br />THENCE, along the west line of Fredericksburg Street to the southeast corner <br />of Lot 1, Block 2, Mountain City Addition; and, <br /> <br />l~ <br />~)~~-i~ <br />
