<br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY
<br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS.

<br />WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land, said strip of land not
<br />exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, b'eing contiguous and adjacent
<br />to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of the State
<br />legislature, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip
<br />within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached
<br />marked Exhibit n AU and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City.of San Marcos
<br />to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter described
<br />by' metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the
<br />City of San Marcos, and the corporate I imits of the 'City of San Marcos
<br />are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth
<br />the territory as received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San
<br />Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in
<br />accordance wi th law.

<br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as follows:

<br />BEGINNING at a point, which point is the South comer of Lot 12
<br />of the Revised Plat of Block 1 of Oak Heights 'Subdivision, said plat
<br />being of Record in Volume 168, page 300 of the Deed Records of Hays
<br />County , Texas; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, N. 49030' W a distance of 161.52 feet to the West comer
<br />of said Lot 12, Block 1; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, Northwesterly across Franklin Drive to the East corner of
<br />Lot'13, Block 5 of a plat of Oak Heights Subdivision recorded in
<br />Vol; 164, Page 586 of the Deed Records of Hays County, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, N. 44004' W 150 feet along the Southwesterly line of Stokes
<br />Street to a point, which point, is the North corner of Lot 13 and the
<br />East comer of .Lot 12 of Block 5; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, along the common line separating Lots 2 thru 12 from Lots
<br />13 thru 23 of Blk. 5 in a Southwesterly direction to a point which is
<br />the East corner of lot 1, Block 5; and,

<br />THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along. the Northeast line of
<br />said Lot 1 a distance of 150 feet to the Southeast Right-of-Way line
<br />of Dale Drive:'; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the Southeast line of Dale
<br />Drive a distance of 80.0 feet to a point in the Northwest line of lot 3,
<br />Block 5; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction 50 feet across Dale Drive to
<br />the East corner of Lot 21, Block 4; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, continuing in a Northwesterly direction along the Northeasterly
<br />line of Lots 21 and 2, Block 4, to a point in the Southeast line of
<br />
