Both are attached as a part of these Minutes. <br />Alderman Swift moved that the recommendation of the Equalization Board <br />be accepted. Alderman Stokes seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. and Mrs. S.V. Bingham appeared before the Council with a complaint <br />about the odor from the new Lift Station. Alderman Stokes said he had <br />been down there to investigate the matter and had talked with Jack Major <br />about using a chemical additive to reduce the odor. The City Manager <br />said he had discussed the problem with sanitary engineers. Several I <br />possible metjods of reducing or eliminating the odor were discussed. By <br />general consent of the Council, the City Manager was authorized to <br />investigate the matter under discussion, and, if the solution does not <br />prove too costly, to go ahead and take care of it. <br /> <br />Dr. Moore was called out of the meeting at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Alderman Stokes moved the adoption of the Resolution ordering the <br />City Election for Mayor and two Aldermen on April 2, 1963. Alderman Ruiz <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The following election <br />officers were named for the four precincts: <br /> <br />Precinct 10 - Library - Mrs. J.R. Thornton, Presiding Judge; <br />Mrs. Jack Wood, Assistant Judge; Mrs. Marion <br />McGee and Mr. Jack Kercheville, Clerks <br /> <br />Precinct 11 - County Barn - Mr. Frank Taylor, Presiding Judge; <br />Mrs. Henry Bales, Assistant Judge; Miss Lola <br />Petty and Mr. Mike Roy Guerrero, Clerks <br /> <br />Precicnt 12 - Court House - Mrs. A.F. Weatherford, Presiding Judge; <br />Mrs. Harold Gosdin, Assistant Judge; Mr. <br />Augustin Lucio~ jr. and Mr. Claudio Flores, <br />Clerks <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Precinct 13 - City Hall - Mrs. C.M. Waldrip, Presiding Judge; Mrs. <br />Wm. Sherrill, Assistant Judge; Mrs. R.J. <br />Pollard and Mrs. Lee Crunk, Clerks <br /> <br />Alderman Stokes introduced the matter of utilization of the offices on <br />the second floor of City Hall recently vacated by the Chamber of Commerce. <br />Alderman Stokes recommended that the City Council direct the, City Manager <br />to move his office and immediate staff into the quarters.
