r-- ?JI adjourned regular meeting, may 21, 1963 page four Rodgers Storey came before the Council to report that the Chamber of Commerce had endorsed the formal opening of the Sky Ride at Aquarena, and formally requested that the City join with the Chamber of Commerce in this endorsement with a Proclamation by the Mayor. Alderman Stokes moved that the City Council join with the Chamber of Commerce in endorsing the Sky Ride Formal Opening by means of a joint resolution, and by a proclamation. Alderman Ruiz seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced the Water Safari and commended the Chamber of Commerce for its sponsorship of the event, stressing the favorable publicity which San Marcos has received from it. Alderman Stokes proposed that the City Council take note of this event with a Resolution of appreciation. The Council agreed by common consent. I Alderman Ruiz moved that the Council recess for five minutes, to reconvene in Executive Session for the consideration of matters properly to be considered in such session. It was agreed by com- mon consent. EXECUTIVE SESSION Matters of a confidential nature were discussed at the Executive Session, with no action being taken.
