<br />i~" <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />j <br /> <br />/ I t:~~ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce has taken one of the <br /> <br />natural attractions of the City and utilized it in a most unique <br /> <br />way; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, its Water Safari has attracted national attention for <br /> <br />traversmng of the San Marcos River from the springs which mark its <br /> <br />beginning to Corpus Christi Bay, and thence into the City of <br /> <br />Corpus Christi; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the utilization of the San Marcos River, one of the City's <br /> <br />most unusual phenomena, has brought favorable publicity to the City, <br /> <br />the Chamber of Commerce, and the surrounding area, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />San Marcos that the Chamber of Commerce of the City of San Marcos <br /> <br />be commended for its far-sightedness in publicizing the natural <br /> <br />attractions through the Annual Water Safari; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Chamber of Commerce, <br /> <br />Mr. Frank Brown, be particularly commended for his participation and <br /> <br />direction of this annual attraction; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to <br /> <br />the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, and a copy be <br /> <br />furnished the news media, that the City's appreciation may be known. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this <br /> <br />28th day of May, A..
