<br />."1 <br /> <br />(%;Lj --5 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~Ol <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECENING CERTAIN TERRITORY <br />ADJOINING mE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOSo <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land not <br /> <br />exceedin9 one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous and adjacent to <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />the present residents, qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature, <br /> <br />has petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within Its <br /> <br />municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked <br /> <br />Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, It w1Il be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos <br /> <br />to annex said strip of land within Its municipal limits; <br /> <br />NOW, mEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINRI> by the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter described <br /> <br />by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are <br /> <br />hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, <br /> <br />and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance <br /> <br />with law. <br /> <br />SAID STRIP OF lAND is described by metes and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a point which point is the Northwest <br />corner of Lot 21, Block 5, Oak Heights Addition, iame <br />being the SOulhw&t oorn,er'"df Lot,',j~lbet:1S.of said <br />Addition, and being In the north city limit line of the <br />City of San Marcos, TeXlls; and, <br /> <br />mENCE, In a Northwesterly direction along the <br />common line between Lots 3 and 4 of Block 5, Oak <br />Heights Addition to a poInt in the South right-of-way <br />line of Dale Drive, said point being the Northwest <br />corner of Lot 4; and, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the <br />South right-of-way line of Dale Dr., a distance of <br />107.5' to a point, which point Is the center of Lot <br />56f"Jllock 5; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction across Lot <br />5 to a point in the common line between Lots 5 and 20 <br />of Block 5; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction along the <br />common line between Lots 5 and 20, 4 and 21 of Block <br />5, same being the North city limit line of the City of <br />San Marcos, Texas, to a point which point Is the North- <br />west corner of Lot 21, Block 5, and the place of <br />BEGINNING. <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />, <br />'"j Ch \ <br /> <br />~ <br />
