I I' I I I I I I I ~ I I I I I I I I I STATE OF TEXAS I , ~q COUNTY OF HAYS I WHEREAS, the undersigned owner of a strip of land contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mJle in width and further being vacant and without residents, in accordance with Section 974g of VATS, hereby petitions the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to accept said strip of land within its corporate limits that it may receive all the benefits and privileges of being a part of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, WHEREAS, a map of the area is attached hereto and marked as Exhibit "A", the said strip of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point, which point is an old concrete monument, and is the most northerly corner of Lot 2, Block 3, Highland Terrace Addition No.1 and is on the City Limit Line of the City of San Marcos; and, THENCE, N430S4'E 229.1 feet along the north line of the T. W. Nlchols property and the south line of the Hughson property to a concrete monument; and, THENCE, N420S0' E 217..6 feet to an 1ron pipe; and, , THENCE, N43050'E 231.5 feet to a point which pOint is in the extension of ElmooreDrlve or the old San Marcos-Wimberly County Road; and, THENCE, S4S020'E 339.5 feet, !lIore or less, to a point; and, . 'THENCE, S43032'W 677.0' to a point, which polnt is the most northerly corner of Lot 11, Block I, Highland Terrace Addition No.1 and ls a point inthe present city limit line; and, THENCE, N45032'W 339.5 feet along the present city limit line and the northeast line of said Highland Terrace Addition No. I to the pOint of beginning, containingO approximately 5.28 acres.
