5~ THE STATE OF TEXAS 0 COUNTY OF HAYS 0 I W HER EA S, the undersigned owner of a strip of land contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width and further being vacant and without residents. in accordance with Section 974g of V. A. T. S., hereby petitions the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to accept said strip of land within its corporate limits that it may receive all the benefits and privileges of being a part of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, W HER EA S, a map of the area Is attached hereto and marked as Exhibit" A", the said strip of land being more particular! y described by metes and bounds as follows: BEG 1 N N I N G at a point which point Is the Northwest corner of Lot 18, Block 5, Oak Heights Addition, and being in the north city limit line of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, I THE N C E, in a Northwesterly direction along the common line between Lots 6 and 7, Bock 5, Oak Heights Addition to a point in the South right-of-way line of Dale Drive, said point being the Northwest corner of Lot 7; and, TH EN C E, In a Northeasterly direction along the South right-of-way line of Dale Drive, a distance of 70.0 feet to a point, which point is the Northeast corner of Lot 7, Block 5; and, THE N C E, in a Southeaster] y direction along the common line between Lots 7 and 8, B'ock 5 to a PQint, which point is the Southeast corner of Lot 7 and is in the city limit line of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, THE N C E, In a Southwes terl y direction along the common line between Lots 7 and 18, Block 5, same being the North city limit line of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to a point which point is the Northwest corner of Lot 18, Block 5, and the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
