85 THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HAYS I WHEREAS, t he undersigned owner of a strip of land contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width and further being vacant and without residents, in accordance with Section 974g of VATS, hereby petitions the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos, Texas to accept said strip of land within its corporate limits that it may receive all the benefits and privileges of being a part of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and. WHEREAS, a map of the area is attached hereto and marked as Exhibit "A", the said strip of land being more particularl y described by metes and boLlhds, as follows: BEGINNING, at a point, which point is the most southerly corner of Lot 3 of San Marcos Heights Addition No. One and is in the northeast line of Chestnut Street and the City Limit Line; and, TRENCE, N 56027' E.106.21 feet along the southeast line of said Lot 3to a point; and, THENCE, S 450 40' E 201.29 feet to a point which point is the most southerly corner of Lot 4 of San Marcos Heights Addn, No. One; and, -THENCE, S 480 04' E 127.0 feet to a point; and, THENCE, N 47094' E 150.0 feet to a point; and, I THENCE, N 460 33' W 110.0 feet to a point; and, THENCE, N 450 33' E8, 0 feet, more or less, to a point, which point is the most easterly corner of said Lot 4; and, THENCE, N 420 53' E 348.29 feet to the most northerly corner of Lot No.8; and, THENCE, S 450 44' W 267.52 feet along the common line between Lots 8 and 9 and 3 and 2 to a point in the northeast right-of-way of Chestnut Street, same being a point in the Northeast Sity Limit Line; and, THENCE, S 410 37' E 107.37 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, I" (/j//o. / / ~1 \ /77 v~.
