<br />, <br />'.j <br />~'{ <br /> <br />~~ <br />'" <br /> <br />ill.JE$(Q)]LUlT'ITl!(Q)JI!f <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is an increasing amount of air traffic in the <br />San Marcos area and the City does not now have an airport <br />capable of fulfilling the aviation requirements of the City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are available at Camp Gary, a military estab- <br />lishment to be declared excess, runways, hangars, equipment <br />and associated items suitable for use in the establishment and <br />operation of a civilian airport; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos is interested in obtaining <br />these facilities as they would be of great use and benefit to <br />the City in providing and operating an adequate civilian airport. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of San Marcos, that B. R. Fuller is hereby authorized and <br />empowered to make application for all appropriate air service <br />facilities at Camp Gary, Texas, suitable for use in the operation <br />of a municipal civilian airport, including any and all properties <br />adaptable for non-aviation supporting usage. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of San Marcos is willing <br />to pay the external and administrative expenses incident to the <br />acquisition of the said air service facilities at Camp Gary, in- <br />cluding the non-aviation supporting use, and is willing, author- <br />ized and in a position to assume immediate custody and mainte- <br />nance of the property and facilities at Camp Gary when trans- <br />ferred to the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 13th day of July, A.
