I ... r- ., [qu4 - 1-'1 I !l1 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS WHEREAS. the owner of a strip of land, sat! strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature. has petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached. marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos'to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDMNED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos. Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Maroos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with law. SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING, at a point in the city limit line, which point is the Northeast corner of Lot 2 (Northwest corner Lot 3), Block 4, Oak Heights Addition, and in the Southeast right-of- way line of LaRue Drive; and, THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the South- east right-Of-way line of LaRue Drive to a point, which point is the Northwest corner of Lot B (Northeast corner Lot 7), Block 4, Oak Heights Addition; and, THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction along the common line between Lots 7 &. B. Block 4. to a point which is the Southwest corner of Lot 8 and the Northwest corner of Lot 15, said Block 4; and. THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the common line between Lot 8 and Lot 15 of Block 4. to a point. which is the South- east corner of Lot 8 and the Northeast corner of Lot 15; and, THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the common line between Lot 8 and Lot 9 of Block 4 passing a point, which is the Northeast corner of Lot 8 ana in the Southeast right-of-way of LaRue Drive, continuing across LaRue Drive to a point in the North- west right-of-way line of said LaRue Drive; and, THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction along the said North- west right-of-way of LaRue Drive to a point; and, THENCE, at right angles to the Northwest right-of-way line of LaRue Drive to the Northeast corner of Lot 2, Biock 4 and the POINT OF BEGINNING.
