<br />WHEREAS, the undersigned owner of a strip of land contiguouS and
<br />adjacent to the present boundary 1Jne of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />s aid strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in Width and further
<br />being vacant and without residents, in accordance wIth Section 974g of
<br />VATS, hereby petitions the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, to accept said strip of land within in corporate limits that it
<br />may receive all the benefits and privileqes of being a part of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a map of the Cl"ea is attached hereto and marked as
<br />Exhibit" A", the said strip of land being more particularly described
<br />by metes and bounds as follows:

<br />BEGINNING at a point, which point is the most
<br />Northern corner of Lot No.8, San Marcos Heights
<br />Addition #1, being of record in Vol. 166, Page
<br />525, of the Deed Records of Hays County, Texas,
<br />and a paint in the City Limit line; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, N. 42053' W. 140.76 feet along the South-
<br />west side of Austin Street to a point, which point is
<br />th~ ,most Northern corner of Lot 10 of said Addition; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, N. 45027' E. 30.01 feet to a point in said
<br />Austin Street and continuing across Austin Street N.
<br />46003' E. 10.0 feet to a point, which point is the most
<br />Westerly corner of Lot 11 of said Addition; and,

<br />Lot ll, a distance of 140.0 feet to the most Northerly
<br />corner of said Lot 11 and continuing along a line,

<br />OF BEGINNING.
