I I I I I I I I~ I~ 4 ~ ' (' ': AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS. WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land, said strip of land not exceeding one half (1/2) mile in width. being contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, and further being vacant and without residents, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land. hereinafter described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said city in accordance with law. SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the City Limit line of the City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which point is the most southerly corner of Lot 91 of the Third Addition Park Addition to the City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, according to the plat of said subdiviSion recorded in Vol 56, p. 47 Deed Records of Hays County, Texas; and, THENCE, N. 43039' E. along the S.E. line of said Lot 91, a distance of 170.0 feet to a point, which point is the most Easterly corner of said Lot 91 and the most southerly corner of Lot 90 of said Addition; and, THENCE, N. 45021' W. with the common line of said Lots 90 and 91, a distance of 92.5 feet to a point, which point is the most Westerly corner of said Lot 90; and, THENCE, N. 43039' E. with the common line of Lot 89 and 90 a distance of 55.0 feet to a point in said common line; and, THENCE, S. 45021' E. passing through a point in the Southwest line of said Lot 90 a distance of 92.5 feet to a point in the Southeast line of Walnut Street; and, THENCE, S. 43039'W. withtheN.W.lineofLot 97 and Lot 96 of said Addition (the S.E. line of Walnut Street) a distance of 225.0 feet to a point, which point is the most Westerly corner of Lot 96 r.
