On ~oll cal I, the following vote was re- <br />corded: <br /> <br />AYE: Pool, Ruiz, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Temdeclared the Resolutions Passed and Approved. <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Tem introduced Ordinances annexing property <br />which had been petitioned for annexation by four preperty <br />owners at the March 3, 1965 meet i ng. A I derman Poo I moved <br />adoption of the four annexation ordinances, collectively. <br />A I derman Ru; z seconded the mot i on and on 1'0 II ca II, the <br />following vote wai recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Pool, Ruiz, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Tem declared the four Ordinances Passed, <br />Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />A letter from Mrs. David E. Conrad, requesting a lower <br />speed limit. in her neighborhood to protect children play- <br />ing in the street, was read aloud and discussed. All agreed <br />that Ridgeway Street, being on a steep slope, was dangerous <br />for chi Idren skati~g. After thorough discussion, it was <br />agreed by common consent not to change the speed law at this <br />time, and to place a DChi Idren at Play" sign on Ridgeway Street. <br /> <br />A letter from Capt. R.H. Murray of San Antonio requesting <br />a franchise to operate a bus line in San Marcos was discussed. <br />It was agreed by common consent that the City Manager should <br />request Capt. Murray to subm ita franch.i se for cons i derat ion <br />by the Counci I, the minimum annual payment to the City per <br />bus to be $100.00. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Ruiz asked for information on two matters: <br />first, the status of the uti lity contracts with Gary Job Corps <br />Training Center; second, whether any changes were going to be <br />necessary to the GNRP plans before submission for approval. <br />Mr. Ful IeI' said a meeting with Dr. Oscar Baker, Director of <br />the Gary Training Center, would probably be held the first of <br />the following week. On the second matter, Mr. Ful IeI' report- <br />ed to the Counci I that Isom Hale, consulting engineer on GNRP, <br />had taken the application for planning grant to HHFA in Fort <br />Worth that morning and had cal led to say that only two or three <br />minor changes were required for approval.
