J .~ 1<- It.. rq-7 STATE OF TEXAS COUN TY OF HAYS X WHEREAS, the undersigned owners of a strip of land con>iguuus and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width and further bdng vacant and without residents, in accordance with Section 974g of VJlTS, hereby petition the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos, Texas, tu accept said strip of land within its corporate limits that it may receive elll the benefits and prb ,ledges of be ing a part of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, WHEREAS, a map of the area is attached hereto and marked as Exhibit "A". the said strip of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line which point is the Northeast corneC-Of'Lut 18, Block 5, Oak Heights Addition; and, THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the common line between Lot 7 and Lot 8 of said 810ck 5 to a point in the Southeast right-of-way line of Dale Drive; and, THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the Southeast right-of-way line of Dale Drive to its intersection with the South- west line of Stokes Street; and, THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction along the Southwest right-at-way line of Stokes Street to a point which point is the Northeast corner of Lot 13, Block 5, and a point in the present City Limit Line; and, THENCE, in a Southwesterly directiOn along the present City Limit Line being the Southeast line of Lots 12, 11, 10, 9 and 8 of Block 5 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and includes all of Lots 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of Block 5, Oak Heights Addition.
