"~I / g/ STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HAYS X WHEREAS, we the undersigned, owners of a strip of land contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, said strip of land not exceeding one-half mile in width, and further being vacant and without residents, in accord- ance with section 974g of VATS, hereby petition the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to accept said strip of land within its corporate boundaries that it may receive all the benefits and privileges of being a part of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, WHEREAS, a map of the area Is attached hereto and marked as Exhibit "A", the said strip of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the City Limit Line, which point is the N orthwes t corner of Lot 21, Block I, Forest Hills Addition; and a point in the Northeast right-of-way line of North Austin Street; and, THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the Northeast right-of-way line of North Austin Street, N. 45021' West to a point which point is the most Southerly corner of Lot 16, College Heights Addition and the point of inter- section of the Northeast right-of-way line of North Austin Street with the Northwest right-of-way line of Walnut Street; and, THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction, N. 44039', East 240 ft. to the point of intersection of the Northwest right-of-way line of Walnut Street with the Southwest rlght- of-way line of Clark l\ve.; and, THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the South- west right-of-way line of Clark Ave. and the Northeast property line of Lots 9 through 12 of College Heights Addition to the point of intersection with the Southwest right-of-wa'y line of Clark l\ve, with the Southeast line of Cardinal Court': also the most Northerly corner of Lot No.9 of said College" 1-1 eigh ts Addition; and, o , THENCE, S. 44 39' West along the Southeast right- of wa y line of Cardinal Court passing through the most Westerly corner of Lot 13 of College Heights Addition to a point in the Southwest right-of-way line of North Austin Strcet;and, THENCE, along the Southwest right-of-way line of North Austin Street, South 45021' East to a point which point is the point of intersection of a prolongation of the common line between Lots 20 and 21, Block 1, Forest Hills Addition; and, ct,..
