<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />= <br />u <br />;...;! <br />Q:::; <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br />,,! <br /> <br />If:) <br /> <br />~,.\ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY <br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land <br />not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous and <br />adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of <br />the State Legislature, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to <br />annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of <br />said petition being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made <br />a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San <br />Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal boundaries; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, herein- <br />after described,'by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby <br />received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate <br />limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include <br />said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and <br />annexed, shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be <br />bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with <br />law. <br /> <br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />All of that certain real property in the T. J. Cham- <br />bers League, in Hays County, Texas, being a part of Lot <br />No. Two (2) and a part of Lot No. Three (3) of a sub- <br />division of a tract of land formerly owned by G. B. <br />Ezell, according to map or plat of said subdivision recorded <br />with partition deed dated March 16, 1907, now of record <br />in Volume 53, pages 4-8, of the Hays County Deed Records, <br />and being three (3) parcels of land, comprising one con- <br />tiguous area, more particularly described as follows, <br />to-wi t: <br /> <br />PARCEL ONE: BEGINNING at a point which is the most Nor- <br />thern corner of Lot No. 2 of the C. B. Ezell Estate as <br />recorded in Vol. 53, p. 8 of the Hays County Deed Records <br />said Lot No. Two (2) containing 8.97 acres, and being the <br />same land conveyed by and described in deed from Mrs. <br />Eliza Ezell, a widow, to Peter Vogelsang, and Frank Avey, <br />dated February 19, 1912 and now of record~in Vol. 61, p. <br />383, of said Deed Records, <br />THENCE, S 45" E 758'.0 ~ along the common line between <br />Lot. No. Two (2) and Lot No. Three (3) of the said G. B. <br />Ezell Estate to a point which is the most Eastern corner <br />or said Lot No. Two (2) and the most Southern corner of <br />said Lot No. Three;;and, <br />THENCE,S 60" W 132'.0 to a point; and, <br />THENCE,N 61" 30' W 92'.4 to a point; and, <br />THENCE,N 810 W 96'.4 to a point; and, <br />THENCE,S 52" W 135'.2 to a point; and, <br />THENCE,S 270 lO'W 129'.2 to a point; and, <br />THENCE,S 66" 45'W 49:2 to a point; and, <br />THENCE,N 68" 55' W 130'.3 to a point; and, <br />THENCE,N 850 35 W 64'.5 to a point; and, <br />THENCE,N 62" 05' W to a point in the East line of Aus- <br />tin St.; and, <br />THENCE,along the East line of Austin St. in a Northerly <br />direction to a point in the south line of Forest Dr." and <br />THENCE,N 45" 45' E along the south line of Forest'Dr. ' <br />to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />\ <br />
