Worrell <br />Bru ce McE Iroy <br /> <br />Visitors: <br /> <br />Mrs. Jerri Veidt, Tom Buckner, <br />Mrs. Wynette Barton, Lloyd Spangler <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Members <br />of the Counci I signed Consent to Meeting, <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced and read aloud an Ordinance Amending <br />the Zoning Ordinance, a copy of which is made a part of the <br />Minutes. Alderman Pool moved adoption of the Ordinance, <br />Alderman Whittenberg seconded the motion, and on 1'01 I cal I, <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />The City Manager gave a progress report on the City's applicat- <br />ion for acquisition of the airport facilities at Camp Gary. <br />He said he had had a satisfactory conference with Dr. O.J. Baker, <br />Director of Gary Job Corps Center, who wi II have to release the <br />property before General Services Administration can grant the <br />City's request. <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud the following communication, dated June 23, <br />1965, and addressed to the City of San Marcos: <br /> <br />"This is a legal notice not to allow any hookups on our <br />water main on Bluebonnet Drive unless it's some resident <br />or lot owner on this street, and this applies to any other <br />street in this addition. R.L. Lightfoot". <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Manager gave members of the Council a Memorandum <br />on Wests ide Community Center. Mr. Ful IeI' announced that Alonzo <br />Hardge had been appointed Chairman of the Governing Board. <br />Other members are E.L. Teague, Treasurer; Monroe T. Washington, <br />Secretary; Sammie Hardeman, Custodian; and George Smith, Henry <br />Bush and J.e. Jackson, Directors. A man is to be hired who wi I I <br />be responsible for maintenance, cleaning, minor repairs, etc. <br />He wi II be paid at the same rate as Julian Rackley at City Park <br />Recreation Hall, $100.00 per month. <br /> <br />= <br />U <br />~ ", <br />- <br />;::c <br />~ <br />
