<br />cr9 <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS 1 <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAYS 1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the undersigned owner of a s trip of land contig- <br />uous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile <br />in width and further being vacant and without residents, in accordance <br />with Section 974g of the VATS, hereby petitions the Governing Body <br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to accept said strip of land within <br />its corporate limits that it may receive all the benefits and privi- <br />leges of being a part of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a map of the area is attached hereto and marked as <br />Exhibit "A", the said strip of land being more particularly described <br />by metes and bounds as follows; <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a point, being the intersection of the <br />Northwes t line of Prospect Street wi th the Southwes t line <br />of Feldmont Avenue, and also a point in the Northwest City <br />Limit Line; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, N 390 04' W 365.67 feet to the Southeast <br />corner of Lot 252 Block 50, Westover Addn. to the City of <br />San Marcos, as recorded in Vol. 59 Page 184 of the Deed <br />Records of Hays County, Texas; and, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction 81.5 feet along the <br />Northeast side of said Westover Addn., (Southwest Line of <br />Feldmont Ave.), to a point in the Northeast Line of Lot <br />253 of said Addn.; and, <br /> <br />THENCE. S 450 00' W, crossing Lot 253. a 15-foot alley, <br />and Lot 250, a total distance of 315 feet, to a point in the <br />Southwest Line of Lot 250 of the said Westover Addn.; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction along the North- <br />east Line of Dartmouth Street (Southwest line of Lots <br />250 and 251), a distance of 81.1 feet to the Southwest <br />corner of Lot 251; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, S 670 40' E a distance' of 45.2 feet to an iron <br />pipe for the corner of a 2.072 acre tract; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, s 450 32' E 334.8 feet to a point, being the <br />Southwest corner of said 2.072 acre tract, and a point in <br />the Northwest Line of Prospect Street and the Northwest City <br />Limit Line; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, N 420 07' E 257.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />It is also petitioned that the above area be admitted <br />as zoned "RIl single family residential. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />,'"a;;;r----- <br />
