<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />C, <br />I <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS I <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the undersigned owners of a strip of land, not ex- <br />ceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, and further being vacant and <br />without residents, and said strip of land being not contiguous and <br />adjacent to the present City Limit Line of the City of San Mareos, <br />hereby petitions the Governing Body of said City of San Mareos, Texas, <br />to accept said strip of land within its corporate boundaries at sueh <br />time in the future as the-said strip of land shall be eontiguous and <br />adjaeent to the City Limits, in order that it may reeeive all the bene- <br />fits and privileges of being a part of the City of San Marcos, Texas; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a map of the area is attached hereto and marked as Ex- <br />hibit "A", the said strip of land being more partieularly described <br />by metes and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />All of that eertain traet or pareel of land lying and being <br />situated in Hays County, Texas, and being a part of that same real <br />property eonveyed by deed dated July 15, 1947, from Ella D. Lowery <br />to R. L. Lightfoot, such deed being reeorded in Volume 140, page 160, <br />Hays County Deed Records, the traet eonveyed hereby being described <br />by metes and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at an old iron stake on the East line of <br />Blue Bonnet Drive of Forest Hills Addition, aeeording <br />to the map or plat thereof of reeord in Volume 151, <br />page 23, Hays County Deed Reeords, the North corner <br />of a lot conveyed by R. L. Lightfoot, et ux, to Tom <br />Serur, by deed dated July 12, 1950, and of reeord <br />in Volume 147, page 188, Hays County Deed Reeords, <br />bearing S 10 02' W 214.9 feet and a triple Elm .tree, <br />9 inches in diameter, bearing S 440 43' E 28.0 feet, <br />and an Elm tree,S inches in diameter, bearing N 760 30'E <br />15.3 feet, this beginning corner being the Northwest <br />corner of the property herein described; <br /> <br />THENCE, N 870 18' E 150.0 feet to an iron pipe <br />for the Northeast corner; <br /> <br />THENCE, S 10 22' E 110.0 feet, passing an iron pipe <br />at 105.0 feet, to a point on the North line of a 30- <br />foot Road; <br /> <br />THENCE, along the North line of said Road, S 870 18' W <br />150.0 feet to an iron pipe on the East line of Blue <br />Bonnet Dwive for the Southwest corner of the property <br />herein described. <br /> <br />THENCE, along the East line of Blue Bonnet Drive, <br />N 10 22' W 110.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />The tract or parcel of land above-described by metes and bounds, <br />recorded in Hays County Deed Records, Volume 167, pages 246-249, <br />contains 16,495 square feet according to survey made on the ground <br />by Don Cude, Surveyor, on May 10, 1954. <br /> <br />~--~--." <br /> <br />'\ /J <br />..:> - .4- ;::;.., .' / --<"') ---~ <br />/-- JOho/'B.
