<br />~ <br />lit} <br />0\\9'0 <br />; <br />\ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING <br />THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />I, <br /> <br />HHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land, said strip of land <br />not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous and ad- <br />jacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of the <br />State Legislature has petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex <br />said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition <br />being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for <br />all pertinent purposes; and, <br /> <br />HHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San <br />Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits; <br /> <br />NOH, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter <br />described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as <br />a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City <br />of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, <br />and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be <br />a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and <br />ordinances of said City in accordance with law. <br /> <br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING AT A POINT, which point is the most Southerly <br />c~rner of Lot 12, Block 1, Revised Plat of Block I, Oak Heights <br />Addition, as recorded in Vol. 168, p. 300, Hays County Deed Records, <br />and a point in the City Limit line; and, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />THENCE, N 470 23' E. 83.30 feet to a point; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, N 520 08' W 168.54 feet along the common line between <br />Lots 11 and 12, Block 1, said Oak Heights Addition, to a point in <br />the Southeast line of Franklin Drive; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, S 420 55' W 75.0 feet to the most Westerly corner <br />of Lot 12 and a point in the City Limit line; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, S 490 30' E 161.52 feet along the said City Limit <br />line and the Southwest line of Lot 12 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />This parcel contains all of Lot 12, Block 1, and is to be <br />zoned "R" Single Family Residential. <br /> <br />17"' +' IP~SSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this the <br />~)fl 0 ")4 , A.D., 1965. <br /> <br />Ii t1v <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />~,' <br /> <br />&~L~~ ~~L~"t// <br /> <br />Ellis Serur <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />AlJIyfjl i? rilL <br />
