Members <br />of the Counci I signed Consent to Meeting. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor recognized Eddie Vogel, representing the students <br />and faculty of Southwest Texas State Col lege, who submitted <br />several traffic control recommendations to the Counci I. The <br />Mayor thanked Mr. Vogel for his interest and said the suggest- <br />ions would be studied. <br /> <br />The Mayor' r'ecognized Mr's. Gene Scrutchin, President of the <br />library Board. There was a brief discussion of the bids for <br />the new library Bui (ding. Mr's. SCr'utchin stated that the Coun- <br />ci /'s action Nov. 22 approving the awar'ding of the contr'act to <br />the low bidder, subject to the architectJs recommendation, had <br />fulfilled the Council's obligation, and no additional action or <br />approval was required. Mrs. Scrutchin thanked members of the <br />Counci I for their help and cooperation in the Board's efforts <br />to secure a new bui Iding. <br /> <br />An ordinance annexing the proper'ty of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Holt <br />was presented for consider'ation. Petition for' annexation <br />was accepted by the Counc i I an Nov. 22. The ord inance, read <br />in fu II, is made a part of the Mi nutes. A I derman Froh moved <br />adoption of the Ordinance annexing the Holt property. Alder'- <br />man Damon seconded the motion and on roll cal I, the following <br />vote was recor'ded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Pool, Whittenber'g <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced Isom H. Hale, and eXplained that the meet- <br />ing had been cal led at his request in order to clear' up any <br />
