i! I (J I' q AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN l~COS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS. I WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of landk said strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present residents, ~ualified to vote for members of the State Legislature has petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordi- nances of said City in accordance with law. SAID STRIP OF L~lD is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING for reference at an iron pipe, at or near the most northerly corner of Lot 3 of the subdivision of the G. B. Ezell Estate, as recorded in Volume 53, Page 8, of the Hays County Deed Records, from which a 15 inch Elm marked X bears S. 420 03' E 47.0 feet, and a 7 inch Elm marked! bears N 400 42' W 19.8 feet; I THENCE S 460 30' W, at 130.00 feet an iron pipe, in all 165.1 feet to the most northerly corner and point of begin- ning of the tract herein described; THENCE along the southwesterly side of a 35 foot road by the following three courses: 1. S 460 54' E 222.1 feet; 2. S 450 27' E 229.8 feet; 3.
