<br />:1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br />RESOLU'rION <br /> <br />KNOW ALL 1mB BY THESE PRESENTS that the Board of Directors <br /> <br />of The San Marcos Jaycees, an organization dedicated to community <br /> <br />service, met this the 19th day of Nay, 1966, and, there being a <br /> <br />quota present, unanimously passed the following resolution: <br /> <br />i'JIlEREAS, it has corne to our attention that the City of San Marcos <br /> <br />contemplated the sale of a certain tract of 3-1/2 acres, more or <br /> <br />less, now designated as City Park landl and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a controversy has arisen as to whether or not said <br /> <br />City should sell said property; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, we believe the City of San Marcos should not divert <br /> <br />any of its park area for purposes other than public recreation <br /> <br />BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT we feel the City of San Marcos <br /> <br />should not sell said property, and that property should be main- <br /> <br />tained for the recreational use of the general public for which it <br /> <br />was intended and that a copy of ~~is resolution be delivered to the <br /> <br />Mayor of the City of San ~flrcos in order to indicate our position in <br /> <br />this matter. <br /> <br />THE S&~ ~mRCOS JAYCEES <br /> <br />By d,,/p~ <br /> <br />I {\ <br />V ~"' , <br />
