Alderman Wh i t:tenberg enquired how long the Lions Club would expect to use the Recreation Ha II \"ithout charge, in return for installation of air-conditioning the bui Iding. He said there would have to be a specified time limit. Alderman Froh said the Counci I should study the proposal carefully - that he doubted wheth- er the Council had a legal right to "tie up" the Recreation Hall in advance, in return for air-con- ditioning. He recommended that the City Attorney be consulted on this point. The Mayor said the Lions Club would be asked to present a more defin- ite proposal. The Mayor introduced an Ordinance amending the Bui Id- ing Code, as recommended by the Bui Iding Inspector. The Ordinance was read aloud and discussed. Alder- man Damon moved adoption of the Ordinance. Alder- man F roh seconded the. mati on, and on 1'0 J J ca II, the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Damon, Froh, Korff, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. The Mayor i~troduced an Ordinance amending part I~ (Housing) of the Southern Building Code, which is part of the C it);' s Bu i I di ngCode. The Mayor read the Ordinance aloud. Alderman Froh moved adoption of the Ord i nan ce.
