<br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS, <br />PROVIDING FOR THEIR TERM OF OFFICE AND SALARY, AND <br />SETTING OUT THE AUTHORITY OF SUCH OFFICERS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MAR- <br />COS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Section 1: The Chief of Police of the City of San Marcos is <br />hereby authorized to allow a maximum of five members of the <br />personnel of the Camp Gary Job Corps Training Center, such <br />personnel to be selected in the first instance by the Direc- <br />tor of said Camp Gary Job Corps Training Center, to ride as <br />passengers, at such times as the Chief of Police may direct, <br />in the City of San Marcos Police Department patrol cars. <br />Each of such persons to allowed to ride in said patrol cars <br />shall be a special member of the Police Department of the <br />City of San Marcos, and shall have the same authority as is <br />vested in the regular members of such department. <br /> <br />Section~: Said special police officers shall hold their <br />office at the pleasure of the City Council of the City of San <br />Marcos, said Council hereby reserving the right to discontinue <br />their services at any time without necessity of advance <br />notice to them or to anyone else. Said special police offi- <br />cers shall receive no salary or fees of office from the City <br />of San Marcos. <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the <br />date hereof. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this the 22nd clay of August, <br />A.D., 1966. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />----- ;/(~:., // <br />--.
