<br />L, <br /> <br />PRO C LAM A T ION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, September 17, 1966, marks the one hundred, <br /> <br />sventy-ninth anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />of the United States of America by the Constitutional <br /> <br />Convent ion; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, To accord official recognition to this memorable <br /> <br />anniversary, and to the patriotic exercise that wi I I form a <br /> <br />noteworthy feature of the occasion, seems fitting and proper; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Law No. 915 guarantees the issuing of a proc- <br /> <br />lamation each year by the President of the United States of <br /> <br />America designating September 17 through 23 as Constitution Week; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ellis Serur, by virtue of the authority <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />vested in me as Mayor of the City of San Marcos, State of Texas, <br /> <br />do hereby proclaim the week of September 17-23, 1966, as <br /> <br />CONSTITUTION WEEK <br /> <br />in the City of San Marcos, and urge al lour citizens to pay <br /> <br />special attention during that week to our Federal Constitution <br /> <br />and the advant.Qes of American Citizenship. <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the <br /> <br />Seal of the City of San Marcos to be affixed, this 12th day of <br /> <br />September in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and <br /> <br />sixty-six, and the Independence of the United States of America, <br /> <br />the one hundred and ninetieth. <br /> <br />ilTTEST: ^Qi/i <br /> <br />( \ ..
