Whittenberg <br /> <br />Visitors: <br /> <br />Jerri Veidt and Carolyn Chandler <br /> <br />The Mayor cal led the meeting to order at 5;00 p.m. and <br />introduced the ordinance to be considered. Caption of <br />the Ordinance, which was read in full, is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING <br />ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE <br />ACCESS ROADS PARALLEL TO (!NTERSTA TE 35; <br />PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION; CONTAIN- <br />ING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND, ESTABLISHING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Damon moved adoption of the Ordinance, attached <br />herewith as a part of the Minutes. Alderman Korff seconded <br />the motion. Alderman Froh asked clarification of the portion <br />of the access road being returned to two-way traffic and <br />ascertained that the other access roads were stil lone-way. <br />The Mayor said the local committee was stil I working to get <br />a II the access roads des:c;:i gnated two- way. The quest i on be i ng <br />cal led for, the fol lowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Damon, Froh, Korff <br />NAY: Pool <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />It was announced that the Texas State Highway Department had <br />intended to return the portion from Redwood lane to loop 82 <br />to two-way traffic Wednesday, but had agreed to wait unti I <br />Friday, Sept. 23, to give time for publication of the San <br />Marcos ordinance. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 5:20 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Ellis Serur, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />C'JEST: ':' <br />r:{~' .
