<br />SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NOVEMBER 17,1966 <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />E II is Serur' <br /> <br />Aldermen: <br /> <br />Caesar A. Damon <br />Joe C. Froh <br />Herman Korff <br />Wi II iam C. Pool <br />Mark H. Whittenberg <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Manager <br /> <br />W.E. Wolff <br /> <br />Visitors: <br /> <br />Mrs; Jerri Veidt, Bradley Moody, <br />June Davis, Chester Young <br /> <br />The Mayor cal led the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Copies of a break-down chart on the bids received on gasol ine <br />and di I were distributed to the Council. See copy atta6h~d. <br />Alderman Pool moved that the bid be awarded to the low bidder, <br />Sinclair Refining Company. Alderman Froh seconded the motion <br />and on roll ca", the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried, and the bid awarded <br />to Sinclair Refining Company. <br /> <br />Dr. Pool enquired whether the gasoline purchased at the <br />Municipal Airport would corne under this bid. The City Manager <br />said that under the terms of the agreement with Raymond Foster, <br />Fixed Base Operator, and the City, Mr. Foster makes his own <br />arrangements for purchase of gasoline. <br /> <br />The Counci I examined three bids received on two garbage trucks <br />to be purchased. Alderman Damon moved that the low bidder, <br />PAK-MOR, be awarded the bid. Alderman Korff seconded the <br />motion and on rol I call, the fol lowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried, and the bid awarded <br />to PAK-MOR. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Representatives of seven architectural firms were interviewed <br />by the Counci I. The Counci I adjourned into executive session <br />to discuss choice of an architectural firm for design of the <br />three public bui Idings to be constructed with Bond Issue funds. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />Members of the Counci I discussed the merits of each firm <br />represented at the meeting. Choice was narrowed to three <br />firms. <br />
