AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY I WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (!) mi Ie in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature, have petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof for al I pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it wi I I be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its munici- pal limits: I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Counci I of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter described by lot and addition, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from hence- forth the territory so received and annexed shal I be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with law. SAID STRIP OF LAND is described as: AI I of that certain tract, piece or parcel of land. situated near the City of San Marcos, in Hays County, Texas, and being known and designated as Lot No. Ninety- one (91), of the Third Division of the Park Addition to said city, a plat of which division, together with deed of dedication and explanation accompanying same being recorded in Vol. 56, pages 46-48, Hays County Deed Records. This parcel contains all of Lot 91, and is zoned "R", single fami Iy residential.
