Pool <br />Caesar Damon <br />City Manager Billy Wolff <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />A$ Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Highway Committee it is my <br />privelege to present our optimistic program to you in hope that <br />these projects coincide with the future development plans of the <br />ci ty. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />We realize that parts of our program are long-range; but two of <br />them should be finalized in 1967. <br /> <br />Our program is as follows: <br /> <br />1) Completion of two-way traffic pattern on 15-35 frontage <br />streets. <br />2) Placing of at least 7 billboards advertising San Marcos <br />at atrategic points throughout the area. <br />3) Extension of State Hiway 123 through San Marcos West to <br />LBJ Ranch. <br />4) Extension of State Hiway 80 through San Marcos West to <br />Fredericksburg. <br />5) The extension of Loop 82 through the edge of the city un- <br />til it connects with Bishop Street on the South. <br /> <br />We realize you are now in a planning stage with our master plan, <br />and offer our assistance where needed in aid of this overall <br />Highway Program. <br /> <br />We urge you to continue the request for two-way traffic adjacent to <br />1-35, even if it means the bringing of political pressure to bear <br />on the Commission where necessary. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />We have studied the needs of the area, and have surveyed our mem- <br />bership, to learn the problems facing us. <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />
