<br />rl <br /> <br />regu I ar meet i ng, January 30, 1967 <br /> <br />page six <br /> <br />February 27,1967; <br />correction to Minutes, as approved by Alderman Froh; <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a letter from Brooks Holman, <br />formerly employed by the City of San Marcos as <br />Del inquent Tax Attorney, requesting that the bal- <br />ance of payment due him be paid by a check made out <br />jointly to himself and Ruben Ruiz. The letter is <br />attached as a p,rt of the Minutes. The City Manager <br />stated the Tax Assessor-Collector had verified the <br />amount due as $215.02. Alderman Froh questioned the <br />advisabi lity of making the check out to Mr. Holman <br />~!::'.c! Mr. Ruiz. Mr/ Whittenberg said the proper way <br />to handle the matter was to make the check payable <br />to Mr. Holman and turn it over to, Mr. Ruiz. Mrs. <br />Jerri Veidt volunteered the information that Mr. <br />Holman had borrowed money from the loan company and <br />Mr. Ruiz was trying to collect it. Mr. Froh said: <br />"I question paying it to Ruben and to him". Alderman <br />Damon moved that Brooks Holman be paid the amount due <br />him.
