AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY I WHEREAS, the owners of Lots I, 2 & 3 of Block 2, Forest Hi I I Addition desire to have said lots annexed to the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, WHEREAS, said lots are not contiguous to the City Limits of San Marcos; and, WHEREAS, Lot I fronts on Clark Avenue, a road in Hays County; and, WHEREAS, Clark Avenue connects with Walnut Street, the existing San Marcos City Limits; and, WHEREAS, it wi I I be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land witnin its municipal I imjts: I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that said strip of land, Clark Avenue, hereinafter described by metes and bounds, be, and the same hereby is, received as part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shal I be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ord i nances of sa i d City, in accordance with law. Said strip of land is described as: BEGINNING at a point, said point being the Northwest corner of the intersection of Walnut Street and Clark Avenue, said point also lying on existing City Limits line; THENCE N 44039'E 30.0 ft, to the Northeast corner of the intersection of Walnut Street and Clark Avenue; THENCE N 45021'W, 336 ft, to the Northwest corner of Lot I, Block 2 of the Forest Hi I I Addition; THENCE S 44039'W, 300 ft, to the South side of Clarke Avenue; THENCE S 45021'E, 336.0 ft. to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
