<br />74 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1981-43 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1980- <br />37, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 8, 1980, WHICH SET FORTH <br />AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCT- <br />ING EACH DEPARTMENT, DIVISION AND OFFICE OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1980, AND ENDING ON <br />SEPTEMBER 30, 1981, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR <br />THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE <br />TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE <br />SAID FUNDS ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, after notice and public hearing, adopted the budget for <br />said city for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1980, and <br />ending September 30, 1981, on September 8, 1980; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the <br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for <br />said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds <br />and purposes of such estimate; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City <br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council <br />declares that a public necessity exists which requires amend- <br />ment of said budget; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1980-37, adopted September 8, <br />1980, which adopted the City of San Marcos, Texas, budget for <br />the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1980, and ending September <br />30, 1981, be, and the same is hereby, amended as set forth in <br />Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, in <br />words and figures as shown therein, for all intents and purposes. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That the amended budget for the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas, for said fiscal year, be, and the same is hereby <br />approved and adopted in all respects. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates <br />an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the pro- <br />visions of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read <br />at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become <br />effective until the expiration of ten (10) days following the <br />date of its final passage be suspended, and these provisions <br />are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and <br />be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and <br />publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the <br />City. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 26thday of <br /> <br />May <br /> <br />, 1981. <br /> <br /> <br />Bbt~ <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tempore <br /> <br /> <br />E war~ç¡ <br /> <br />Published in the DAILY RECORD, May 31, 1981. <br />
