<br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY <br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land not exceeding <br />one-half (!) mi Ie in width, being contiguous and adjacent <br />to the present residents, qualified to vote for members <br />of the State Legislature, have petitioned the City of San <br />Marcos to annex said strip of land within the municipal <br />limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, <br />marked as "Exhibit A", and made a part hereof for al I perti- <br />nent purposes; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it will be of signa I advantage to the City of <br />San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal <br />limits: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Counci I of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, that said strip of land, herein- <br />after described by lot and addition, be, and the same hereby <br />is, received as part of the City of San Marcos, and the <br />corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extend- <br />ed so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth <br />the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the <br />City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and <br />ordinances of said City, in accordance with law. <br /> <br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described as: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Lots 98 and 99 of the Third Division of the <br />Park Addition of the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />PASSED on first reading the 15 day of May, 1967. <br /> <br />PASSED on second reading the 1.9th. day of May, 1967. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on final reading on the <br />22nd day of May, 1967. <br /> <br />t:;::? ~. <br />/ :?; ~ . <br />~.C-L~. .tz~ <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />/- <br /> <br />, ~1987 r;:i]L <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Attorney <br />
