! ./ AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY lIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY I WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land not exceeding one-half (1) mi Ie in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present res i dents, qua Ii f i ed to vote for .members of the State Legislature, have petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within the municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked uExhibit AU, and made a part hereof for al I pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantqge to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Counci I of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that said strip of land, herein- after described by lot and addition, be and the same hereby is, received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extend- ed so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shal I be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordi- nances of said City, in accordance with law. SAID STRIP OF LAND is described as: I A part of Lots 105 and 106 of the Third Division of the Park Addition of the City of San Marcos. PASSED on first read i ng the 15 day of May, 1967.
