on negotiations for the Sharp property, said they had offered
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sharp $8,000 for the site chosen by the City's
engineers for a sewage disposal plant. A letter had subsequently
been received from Alvis Vandygriff, attorney acting for Mr. and Mrs.
Sharp, offeri~g an alte~nate site for $30,000. Mr. Korff said the
site was on the River.
The Mayor introduced Ed Munson of Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, and
asked him to give a resume of the reasons for choice of the #1 site.
He explain~d^the Ci~y's overall sewage disposal problem, past and
future, and the engineers' recommendations for its solution.
Questions from the floor were answered by Mr. Munson, an expert in
the field of sewage disposal plant design and construction.
Mr. Korff moved that the City reject Mr, Sharp's offer to sell the
City a River site for $30,000, and that the Land Committee and
Appraiser A.N. Moon make a counter proposal. Mr. Flores seconded
