REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JULY 24, 1967 Present: Mayor E II is Serur Counci Imen: Emmie Craddock, PH.D. Caesar A. Damon Luciano H. Worrell Visitors: Mrs. Ira Bowles, Bob Crutchfield, Robert Hewlett, Jim Brown, W.S. Rader, Jack Cates and others The Mayor cal led the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. I Edwin J. Goodwin, Jr., of Pierce & Pierce, Architects, presented the plans for the proposed new fire station. He said the plans had been approved by Hugh D. Snellings, President of the Volunteer Fire Department, Albert Tombaugh, Fire Chief, and Jack Major, Building Inspector and Fire Marshal. The plans were explained in detail, and questions answered. Mr. Whittenberg moved that the Council approve the plans, and the direct the archi~ects to pro- ceed with work drawings. Mr. Damon seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced for final reading an ordinance annexing a portion of Furman Street. Mr. Damon moved adoption of the Ordinance. Mr. Korff seconded the motion and on roll cal I the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Pool, Serur, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. The Mayor introduced for final reading an ordinance annexing Lots 505 & 506, Blk. 34, Westover Addn. Mr. Damon moved adoption of the ordinance. Mr. Korff seconded the motion and on roll call the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Pool, Serur, Whittenberg None I The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted.
