<br />DRI VING AND PARKING REGULATIONS <br /> <br />All students and" faculty: members are requested to observe all driving and parking regulations set up <br />by the college. The regulations are generally indicated by markings on the streets and curb and by signs. <br />These regulations have been formulated for the benefit of G111 ddvers. To violate them will in- <br />convenience others~ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />CAR REG I STRATI ON REQU I REO <br /> <br />L Every faculty member, student and employee of the college who operates or parks one or more <br />vehicles on the Southwest Texas State College campus must register each vehicle with the Office <br />of Bus iness Management. September 1 t of each year or as 500n thereafter as each vellie Ie is brought <br />on campus. The registration 1s not canplete until the permit is properly affixed to the <br />lower left hand corner of the front windshield~ driver side. Permits displayed in any other <br />manner will be considered void and .will constitute a violation. <br /> <br />2. A registration fee of $2.00 must be paid for each vehicle registered during the 1966-67 school <br />year. <br /> <br />3. The permit will entitle the student to drive on the campus and to park his car in a designated <br />~one or zones assigned to the permit, but not in areas marked "Restrictedll or lIReservedll. AJ I <br />cars must be in the zone assigned to the permit between the class hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 <br />p.m. IIGII permit stickers will be al lowed to park in zones not restrIcted or reserved. <br /> <br />4. Faculty members and other full-time college employees are entitled to the Special Permit~ which <br />entitles them to park theIr cars in the llRestrictedll areas on the campus. Students with serious <br />health problems may make application for the "Special Permit" in the office of the Assistant <br />Business Manager. <br /> <br />5. Students and faculty members who do not register their cars and display the registration number <br />will not be permitted to drive or park thei-r cars on the campus during the regular school hours. <br />Parking violation tickets will be placed on cars not displaying the parking permit. <br /> <br />6. The registrant of the vehicle Is held responsible for the lafe operation and proper parking of I <br />his vehicle, regardless of who ma'y be the driver or operator. <br /> <br />7. Your responsibility as a driver requires that you observe the above regulations as shown under <br />IIDriving and Parking Regulations", as well as city , county~ and state regulations on driving and <br />parking. <br /> <br />8. Violations of any of the driving and parking regulations will necessItate asses'sment of fees of: <br /> <br />Fi rst Offense <br />Second Offense <br />Th i rd Offense'" <br /> <br />$1.00 <br />2.00 <br />3.00 <br /> <br />*Th t rd offense ticket for No Park i n9 Pe rroi t-"car license <br />will be checked through State Police for ownership. <br /> <br />Four th Offense <br />Fifth Offense <br />Sixth Offense <br />Seventh, Offense <br />and each <br />sub5equent offense <br />thereafter <br /> <br />4.00 <br />5.00 <br />5.00 <br /> <br />and Driver Probation <br /> <br />5.00 <br /> <br />and revocation of car privileges in San Marcos. <br /> <br />9. The college reserves the right to remove any illegally par.ked car from the campus by college <br />vehicles, a privately owned wrecker or other means. The carls owner wt11 be required to pay tow <br />charges in addition .to the parking violation fee. <br /> <br />10. Parking violation tickets wrll be issued 1'or out-of-date permit or more than one permit. <br /> <br />II. All drivers wi II be responsible for obtaining the proper permit. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />12. Flagrant and excessive violations may cause a car to be ilJ1J1oblized where It is parked. Permis" <br />sion to remove the inmoblizing device must be obtained from the Office of the Assistant Business <br />Manager during regular office hours. Honday through Friday. After these hours, permission <br />must be granted by the campus security officer. <br /> <br />13. All cars must be driven in a safe and prudent manner. Drivers must be in absolute control of <br />cars at all times. Maxlmun speed limit of 25 miles per hour is In effec.t on all college streets. <br /> <br />14. Permits may not be altered or defaced In any manner. <br />
