<br />AN ORDINANCE RECETVING CERTAIN TERRITORY
<br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY
<br />
<br />WHEREAS ,the owner of a strip of land, said .strip of land
<br />not exceeding one-half (l.:!) mile in width, being contiguous
<br />and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote
<br />for members of the State Legislature, have petitioned the
<br />City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within Its
<br />municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto
<br />attached, marked "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof for
<br />all pertinent purposes; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of
<br />San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its munici-
<br />pal limits:
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land,
<br />hereinafter described by lot and addition, be and the same
<br />is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and
<br />the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby
<br />extended so as to include said strip of land, and from
<br />henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be
<br />a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the
<br />acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with law.

<br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described as:
<br />
<br />A survey made of a 9.78 acres of land and was
<br />conveyed to W. S. Rader by four (4) deeds, namely,
<br />Katherine S. Hardeman, a widow,. of date December
<br />30, 1966, and of record in volume 215, pages 173-
<br />74 of the Deed Records of Hays County, Texas;
<br />Sophia S. Smith, Et Vir, of date December 29, 1966,
<br />and of record in Volume 215, Pages 162-63 of the
<br />Deed Records of Hays County, Texas; Sophia S. Smith,
<br />Et Vir, of date December 23, 1965, and of record
<br />in Volume 217, Pages 137-38 of the Deed Records
<br />of Hays County, Texas; and Sue Ida Williams Alcorn,
<br />Et AI, of date February 16, 1967, and of record in
<br />Volume 216, Pages 70-72 of the Deed Records of Hays
<br />County, Texas, and the above acreage is Tanglewood
<br />Addition, Section Two (2), and contains seventeen
<br />(17) lots and each is a part of and out of the
<br />John W. Berry Survey, Abstract No. 64, of Hays
<br />County, Texas.

<br />This parcel is to be zoned "R", single family residential.
<br />

<br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED ON FINAL READING the 11th day
