AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY I WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (J,) mile in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature, have petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its munici- pal limits, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter described by lot and addition, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with law. SAID STRIP OF LAND is described as: I A 60.58 acre tract of land out of a 393.66 acre tract conveyed to C. C. Hughson as re- corded in Volume 148, Page 139 in the Deed Records of Hays County, Texas. Metes and bounds description of property attached as part of "Exhibit A", petition for Annexation. This parcel is to be zoned "R', single family residential.
