AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERrAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS INTO SAID CITY I WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land not exceeding one-half (~) mi Ie in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature, have petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within the munici- pal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked NExhibit AN, and made a part hereof for all perti- nent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it wi II be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its munici- pal limits: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that said strip of land, herein- after described by lot and addition, be and the same hereby is, received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shal I be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City, in accordance with law. I SAID STRIP OF LAND is described as: Lots 507, 508, 509 and 510 of Block 34, Westover Addition of the City of San Marcos. Said strip of land is zoned NR_IN, single family dwel lings. PASSED ON first read i ng the 13th day of November, 1967. PASSED on second read i ng the 27th day of November, 1967.
