Chapter 163, Acts of the Forty-second Legislature, 1931, as amended, the Charter of the City of San Marcos, and in pursuance of an ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, which ordinance is of record in the Minutes of said City Council. I The date of this bond, in conformity with the ordinance above mentioned, is the 1st day of January, 1968. AND IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED AND RECITED that the issuance of this bond, and the series of which it is a part, is duly authorized by law, and that all acts, conditions and things required to be done precedent to and in the issuance of this series of bonds, and of this bond, have been properly done and performed and have happened in regular and due time, form and manner, as required 'by law, and that the entire series of bonds of which this is one, does not I exceed any constitutional or statutory limitation. IN ADDITION to all other rights, the holder or holders of this bond, and of the series of which it is a part, is and are subrogated to all the rights, and has and have all of the remedies of the holders of the original indebtedness refunded by this issue of bonds. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the City of San Marcos, Texas, by its City Council, has caused its corporate seal to be impressed, or a facsimile thereof printed, on this bond, and this bond and its appurtenant coupons to be executed with the imprinted facsimile signatures of the Mayor and the City Secretary of said City, in accordance with the provisions of Article 7l7j-l, Vernon's Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, as amended.
