Mr. Korff moved <br />that City Manager Richard G. Bean be given an increase ~n <br />salary of $100 per month, effective January I, 1968. Mr. Serur stated <br />the Counc i 1 had i nc.reased Mr . Bean 's sa 1 arY as a token of <br />appreciation for his fine work since assuming his post, <br />August 7. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor said the Business and Professional Women's Club <br />had requested that the City Counci I postpone their January 22 <br />meeting, in order to allow Councilmen to attend their Annual <br />Civic Awards Banquet. Mr. Korff moved that the Counci I meet <br />on Tuesday, January 23, instead of Monday, January 22, 1968. <br />Mr. Damon seconded the motion and on roll call, the fol lowing <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Pool, Serur <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Serur read aloud a letter from Jack Harper, member of the <br />Housing Authority Board, ~equesting.that J.O~ "Buck" Paine <br />be appointed to fill the unexpired term of the late Allen Woods. <br />Dr. Craddock moved that J. 0, Pa i ne be appo i nted to f i lithe <br />u nexp ired term of Mr.. Woods on the Hous i ng Author i ty. Mr. Korff moved that a letter of appreciation and con- <br />dolence carrying the signatures of all the Counci Imen be sent <br />to Mrs. Woods.
