<br />special meeting, february I, 1968 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />Two Resolutions were introduced for Council approval. <br />It was explained that in applications for federal grants, <br />the name of a person authorized to act for the City must <br />be recorded in a Resolution. The present Resolutions <br />were rep I acements for Reso I ut ions passed January 9, 1967 <br />and February 27, 1967, designating W.E. Wolff, City Man- <br />ager at that time, as the person authorized to act for <br />the City of San Marcos. Mr. Korff moved approval of the <br />two Resolutions designating Richard G. Bean, City Manager, I <br />as the person authorized to act for the City in applications <br />for federal grants. Mr. Damon seconded the motion and on <br />rol I cal I, the fol lowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Damon, Korff, Serur <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Resolutions Passed and Approved. <br /> <br />The Mayor reported that Mr. Stanberry of the US.Corps of <br />Engineers had called on him to suggest an alternate flood <br />control plan, if the Counci I wished to consider it. The <br />flood control plan was discussed. Dr. Craddock moved that <br />the Mayor be authorized to write the Corps of Engineers <br />saying that the Counci I wishes to withdraw its approval <br />of the flood control plan as presented to the Counci I on <br />June 7, 1967. Mr. Damon seconded the motion. The motion <br />was amended to include a statement that the Council would <br />be glad to consider an alternate plan. On rei 1 cal I, the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Damon, Korff, Serur <br />None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved that the City Manager set up a meeting <br />for the Counci I and the Hays County Commissioners Court <br />to discuss the Soi I Conservation Service plan of flood <br />control for San Marcos and Hays County.
