I I~':l ,...., )f2 U c.) I I A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING UNDERTAKING OF SURVEYS AND PLANS FOR AN URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT AND FILING AN APPLICATION. WHEREAS, under Title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended (herein referred to as "Title I"), Secretary, Department of Housing and Urban Development is authorized to extend financial assistance to local public agencies in the elimination and prevention of the spread of their slums and urban blight through the planning and undertaking of urban renewal projects; and, WHEREAS, it is desirable and in the public interest that the City of San Marcos make surveys and prepare plans, presently estimated to cost approximately Two Hundred Sixty Thousand, Five Hundred and Thirty- four Dollars ( 260,534), in order to undertake and carry out an urban renewal project of the character contemplated by Section 110 (c) in the City of San Marcos, County of Hays, and State of Texas, which is described as follows: BEGINNING AT A point, said point being the intersection of the northerly prolongation of the West ROW line of Wilson Street and the North ROW line of San Antonio Street. THENCE in an easterly direction a distance of 5,300' more or less along the north line of San Antonio Street to its intersection with the westerly ROW line of Lyndon B. Johnson Street. THENCE in a northerly direction a distance of 350' more or less along the westerly ROW line of Lyndon B. Johnson Street to its intersection with the westerly prolongation of the northerly ROW line of Hopkins Street. THENCE in an easterly direction a distance of 260' more or less along the northerly ROW line of Hopkins Street to its intersection with the centerline of an alley between Gary Street and Lyndon B. Johnson Street. THENCE in a northerly direction a distance of 680 ' more or less along the centerline of said alley to its intersection with the easterly prolongation of the north line of lot 6 Block 23 original town. THENCE in a westerly direction a distance of 165' more or less along the north line of lot 6 Block 23 to its intersection with the easterly ROW line of Lyndon B. J Q)1nson Street. THENCE in a northerly direction a distance of 80' more or less along the easterly ROW line of Lyndon B. Johnson Street to its intersection with the south ROW line of Colorado Street. THENCE in an easterly direction a distance of 600' more or less along the south line of Colorado Street to its intersection with the westerly ROW line of an alley which lies between Edward Gary Street and Moon Drive. THENCE in a south westerly direction a distance of 2630' more or less along the westerly ROW line of said alley to its intersection with the northerly ROW line of the M.K. T. Railroad to an angle point. THENCE in a southwesterly direction a distance of 150' more or less to an angle point.
