O. Box 725
San Marcos, Texas 78666

Dear Mayor Serur:

SUBJECT:

El Molino Urban Renewal Area
Survey and Planning Application

Reference is made to the Council Meeting of November 13th,
1967, and the Council's approval of submission of the above subject
matter.

The firm of Bernard Johnson Engineers, Inc., have completed
the application for the L.P .A., and the Regional Office of the
Department of Housing and Urban Development in Fort Worth has
reviewed it for form and advised the Agency that the Department is
ready to receive the application.

Before the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of San Marcos
can submit the Application, we must have a resolution from the City
approving the filing of the Application.

At this point, the City is formally approving the Council's
verbal instruction as of the November 13th, 1967 Council Meeting.

Again, at this point, the City is not obligating itself to
spend any funds for the project, but permitting the Urban Renewal
Agency to make application for funds to develop the plans in detail
for the El Molino Urban Renewal Area.

'-

I/..
