<br />WHEREAS, the undersigned owner of a strip of land contiguous
<br />and adjacent to the present boundary line of ~he City of San
<br />Marcos, Texas, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (~)
<br />mi Ie in width and further having less than three residents, in
<br />accordance with Section 974g of VATS, hereby petitions the
<br />Governing Body of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to accept said
<br />strip of land within its corporate limits, that it may receive
<br />al I the benefits and privi leges of being a part of the City of
<br />San Marcos, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a plat of the area is attached hereto and marked as
<br />"EXHIBIT A", the said strip of land, in two parcels, being more
<br />particularly described as:

<br />Parcel II. BEGINNING at an iron pipe set for the East
<br />corner of this tract, same being the North corner of the
<br />F.C. Harrell Tract, described in deed from C.R. Kidd to
<br />F.C. Harrell, recorded in Vol. 150, page 314, Hays County
<br />Deed Records, also being a point in the Northwest line of
<br />Austin Street (now Lyndon B. Johnson Drive), and lying on
<br />the present corporate limits line of San Marcos, Hays
<br />County, Texas;
<br />Thence, N. 45 degrees W. 84.4 feet to an iron pipe set
<br />for the North corner of this tract;
<br />Thence, S. 45 degrees, 35 minutes W. 160 feet to an iron
<br />pipe set for the West corner of this tract;
<br />Thence, S. 45 degrees E. 84.4 feet to an iron pipe set
<br />for the South corner of this tract;
<br />Thence, N. 45 degrees, 35 minutes E. 160 feet to the
<br />place of BEGINNING; and
<br />
<br />Parcel L BEGINNING at an old iron pipe for the West
<br />corner of a one-half (~) acre tract of land, conveyed
<br />by deed dated June 12, 1944, from Wi I lian N. Farris, et ai,
<br />to C.R, Kidd, recorded in Vol. 130, pages [75-176, Hays
<br />County Deed Records;
<br />Thence, N. 45 degrees E. 212.2 feet along the Northwest
<br />line of said one-half (~) acre tract to an iron pipe for
<br />
<br />corner;
<br />Thence, S. 45 degrees E. 84,4 feet to an iron pipe for
<br />corner;
<br />Thence, S. 45 degrees W. 212.2 feet to an old iron pipe
<br />found on the ground;
<br />Thence, N. 45 degrees W. 84.4 feet to the place of BEG I NN I NG .
